Women don't get enough respect when it comes to playing sports. There are some female athletes out there that are more talented in a sport than some men. And there are also some female athletes that are amazing but wont disrespect themselves and show off their bodies to the media. And by some of them not doing that they don't get sponsorship because they are not known because the media doesn't give them any coverage. Women athletes also don’t get paid anywhere near as much money as male sports does. Female athletes shouldn’t have to make themselves “sexy” to get recognized in a sport. Women should just be recognized for being a good athlete and get the same privileges as male athletes.
Like the WNBA for instance, they barely get any T.V time and press coverage. They also don’t have all the sports commentator talk shows talking about them and showing highlights and stuff. Like how the NBA gets the All-Star game, slam dunk contest, 3-point shoot out, and playstation challenge and the WNBA doesn’t get all those things. They only get the All-Star game and it’s not even advertised like the All-Star game for the NBA’s is. I think that all athletes should be treated with the same amount of respect no matter the gender or raise.

I think that you are right that women do not get the same amount of respect that men get. But men and women are different and when they play sports it is much different also. Im not trying to be bias but some people think that men sports are more exciting and interesting than women sports, to me it is not the media being sexist, it is the people, if more people would show up to WNBA games than NBA games then the WNBA would be out there more. But it also comes down to who played the sports first. Like the men. But overall i think you did a good job and heres my address

I think so too Donald they really don't give women the same publicity and that much attention because of their gender. It really is not fair that they pay alot of money for the men to get alot of publicity and make sure that they get veiwers to watch them instead of their favorite tv show. The WNBA games barely come on tv as it is and when I actually get to see one of the games it is a re-run no one wants to watch re-runs we want to see the games live like the NBA's game. Like I don't even know like 5 WNBA teams because they barely come on tv, and I know at least a good 15 teams in the NBA because they always come on tv and they have alot of commercials and they have more sports gears.
